BIOGRAPHY

Actor JR Bourne currently plays notable werewolf hunter Mr. Chris Argent, better known as Allison Argent’s father on MTV’s hit series “Teen Wolf.” Bourne was first introduced on the 1st season, as Allison’s stern and overprotective father whose main goal is to keep his daughter away from Scott (Tyler Posey), and to train her to protect herself against werewolves.

Bourne recently held recurring roles on ABC mystery-drama “Revenge” and The CW drama “The Secret Circle.”

An accomplished indie film veteran, Bourne co-starred with Juno Temple and Kay Panabaker in Elgin James’ “Little Birds,” which premiered at the 2011 Sundance Film Festival. Prior to that, Bourne received high acclaim for his lead role in Tom Hines’ “Chronic Town”, a favorite at the 2008 Sundance Film Festival. His performance in the film received astounding reviews and recognition. In 2004, Bourne earned a Vancouver Film Critics Circle Award for Best Supporting Actor for his role in “On the Corner” and again in 2007 for his work in “Everything’s Gone Green.”

Bourne’s additional credits includes roles in television series FOX drama “Fringe” and CBS crime-drama “NCIS: Los Angeles.” Bourne also had guest roles in a number of other series including CBS crime-dramas “CSI”, “CSI: Miami”, “NCIS” and “The Mentalist” and FOX drama-series “24”, and USA Network series “Suits.” Bourne is best known for his role as Martouf on Sci-Fi action series “Stargate SG-1”

An actor with incredible range, Bourne has also appeared in over two dozen films including THE EXORCISM OF EMILY ROSE (Screen Gems), BUTTERFLY EFFECT 2 (New Line Cinema), 13 GHOSTS (Warner Bros.), JOSIE & THE PUSSYCATS (Universal Pictures) and GINGER SNAPS BACK: THE BEGINNING (Lionsgate).

Bourne is involved with the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation and currently resides in Los Angeles.
