We want Howler Con 2021 to be a safe and fun environment, where everyone is welcome and accepted. Upon receipt of your convention badge, you agree to the policies set by Howler Con and Alpha Gamma Wolf, LLC.
These policies may be amended at any time at the discretion of the Howler Con Staff.
> Howler Con reserves the right to revoke or suspend membership and passes. If an individual breaks the rules set forth by the Howler Con staff, he/she will be asked to leave the convention. No refunds will be made for the cost of the ticket. If an individual breaks the law– city, state or federal- he/she will be arrested.
> You must have a ticket package (‘badge’) in order to have admission into the convention, do convention activities and attend any panels. You may purchase extras before buying a ticket, but you must have a con ticket by the time of the event in order to get the extras. We are not responsible for lost extras if admission tickets are not obtained.
> Tickets are nonrefundable. You can sell or give the tickets to someone else up until the time of registration. The barcode ticket must be presented at registration in exchange for a badge, and only one person can enter with each barcode ticket. Giveaway, Free, or Volunteer tickets are not eligible to be transferred to anyone else.
> Howler Con, Alpha Gamma Wolf, LLC, its Staff, Volunteers and Guests are not responsible for any personal financial loss related to travel or hotel expenses or bank or credit card fees due to postponed or cancelled events.
> Badges and wristbands must be worn at all times during the convention and in the convention areas.
> Lost or Stolen badges will not be replaced, so make sure you hang on to yours.
> Badges can only be used by the person assigned at registration. Badges can not be shared or transferred. Anyone caught sharing will forfeit their badge immediately and asked to leave the convention.
> Anyone attending under the age of 18 years old must have a letter of parental consent or proof of emancipation that releases Alpha Gamma Wolf, LLC, Howler Con, its Staff, volunteers and Guests from responsibility.
> Howler Con is an inclusive event for all fans, including those with disabilities. If you need assistance or special accommodations while at our event, please email us so that we can make sure you get what you need.
> Possession of alcoholic beverages by anyone under the age of 21 is grounds for expulsion for the convention. Anyone drunk or belligerent will be asked to leave.
> The sale, distribution or use of illegal substances is not allowed. Individuals found breaking this policy will be removed from the convention and turned over to the local authorities.
> Howler Con and Alpha Gamma Wolf, LLC are not responsible for any lost, stolen or damaged property or any injuries sustained during the convention.
> Announced events and guests are subject to change or cancellation at any time. We will do everything we can to notify attendees of these changes timely, but last-minute changes sometimes must be made.
> No smoking is permitted in the convention areas or the hotel (including hotel rooms) except where designated.
> Please dispose of any trash you create and leave all areas as they are when you arrive.
> No weapons or those that could be easily recognized as weapons are allowed, either openly or concealed, even if you possess a permit.
> Do not affix anything to the walls of the hotel, the hotel rooms, the elevator walls, or Howler Con signage.
> Do not abuse our hotel and convention facilities. Any acts of vandalism, deliberate or excessive damage to hotel property, harassment or abuse of hotel staff members will not be tolerated and will result in immediate expulsion from the convention, criminal charges and fines.
> The person whose name is on the hotel room reservation is solely responsible for the occupants of the room, as well as the condition of the room, and will be charged for any and all damages.
> Costumes are allowed as long as they are appropriate and follow all other policies set forth here. No nudity, vulgarity, or harassment. Weapons must clearly be fake. In order to be fair to ALL attendees, shirts must be worn at all times. No bare midriffs or torsos. Bodysuits under crop tops/sports bras are acceptable. Shorts, tank tops, sleeveless tops, etc are all acceptable.
> No Paint is allowed. Blacklight/UV/Neon clothing and makeup, highlighters and markers are all acceptable, but no paint will be allowed. This is due to our insurance policy and the hotel policies. You will be turned away at the door if you arrive wearing paint or have paint in your possession. Please make sure you check your supplies and prepare accordingly.
> NO PHOTOS OR VIDEOS will be allowed of the Guests of Honor during the Saturday night party. You will be asked to leave if we catch you.
> It is against the rules to hand out or place promotional items and/or flyers in the hotel or convention areas. Any items left in these areas will be disposed of, and any one caught soliciting will be asked to stop. A second reprimand will result in revocation of your membership.
> Only registered vendors are allowed to sell merchandise, goods or services during the event.
> Only service animals are allowed in the hotel and convention areas.
> Howler Con has a ZERO tolerance policy for harassment of any kind, including verbal, physical, or emotional harassment. If you are asked to leave someone alone, or are told “NO” and you continue to engage this person, you will be asked to leave the convention and your badge will be revoked. If you are harassed, stalked, assaulted, or made to feel uncomfortable by anyone else, please let a member of the Howler Con staff know immediately. If you see someone being harassed or assaulted, including taking photos of them without their knowledge, please notify the staff immediately.
> Howler Con will be recording the convention, including videos and photos. Some of our Guests of Honor and many of the fans at the convention will also be taking videos and photos during the weekend. By accepting your badge, you acknowledge and agree that your likeness may be used in our promotional materials and be posted by others on social media and webpages, and you release Howler Con, Alpha Gamma Wolf, LLC, its Guests of Honor and its attendees from any repercussions.
> No professional use of photography or video recording equipment during convention events or activities. No footage from the convention can be used for commercial use or the solicitation of funds, including videos, photos or sound recordings. There will be no interviews allowed with the talent.
> Video recording or flash photography is prohibited during panels. No photos or videos are allowed in photo op sessions, autograph sessions or meet & greet sessions.
> For the safety and comfort of our Guests, Staff and other fans, all questions during the panels will be screened. If the Question Screener feels the question is inappropriate or has already been answered, you will be given the opportunity to offer another question. If you attempt to circumvent this by giving the screener one question and asking another when you reach the microphone, you will be removed from the panel immediately. Repeated attempts will result in loss of badge and dismissal from the event.
> If you leave your seat in the ballroom, you are forfeiting that seat to anyone else in your ticket level who wants it. You can’t ‘hold’ seats’.
>During the convention, you may see our Guests of Honor walking around, either to get to convention events, or coming to/from their room. Please do not approach the Guests or try to stop them. They will be accompanied by a volunteer handler/security personnel or staff member who will stop you. If you attempt to press the issue or are belligerent with the handler or staff member it could result in your dismissal from the convention.
> During the convention, you may not physically or verbally abuse the Guests. You should not touch them unless you ask and they agree, and you may not take liberties with their permission or their person. This includes asking for a hug and attempting to kiss or grope them. It also includes grabbing them or holding on to them. If you attempt to press the issue or are belligerent with the handler or staff member it could result in your dismissal from the convention.
> No press will be allowed interviews with the Guests of Honor during the event.
While we don’t anticipate having a problem, we all must do our part to make Howler Con a successful, enjoyable weekend for everyone.
